Application Download

In order to create and generate FlyVoIP Software applications, we provide a customized download server. The role of the server is to distribute user-customized applications on the basis of  provider’s configuration and requirements. This enables distribution to the end-user’s mobile handset: over the air, PC, SMS, 2D Barcode and manufacturer app stores. The server is hosted on the customer side. The provisioning server is branded according to the requirements. The server distributes applications on the basis of the device type (iPhone, Nokia, etc.)

App Distribution Methods

The Provisioning Server includes the following application distribution methods:

• Mobile Web – a user goes to the download portal via Mobile Web access and downloads the application.
• PC Suite – a user goes to the download portal via PC  Web access, selects a mobile phone, downloads the application to PC and installs it via Mobile PC Suite.
• Mobile SMS – a user goes to the download portal via PC Web access, selects a mobile phone, enters a mobile number. The server generates an SMS with a URL for download. The user opens this URL via mobile phone and downloads the application.
• 2D Barcode – a user goes to the download portal via PC Web access, selects a mobile phone, scans the download URL with 2D Barcode scanner and downloads the application via mobile phone.
• Manufacturer App Store – a user searches for an application in an App Store (e.g. Apple App Store) and installs it via iTunes or from a mobile phone.
